Overview

StoreScreens is a Swift CLI, MCP server and agent skill that runs the App Store Connect screenshot and metadata pipeline from one config file. It captures screenshots with XCUITest across simulators in parallel, adds frames and captions, can translate metadata with your own DeepL key, and uploads through Apple's API. It focuses on producing the full screenshot set rather than general Xcode control.

Features

  • Runs UI tests on several simulators in parallel and sorts output by device and locale
  • Works out which App Store size each simulator maps to
  • Framed renders with Markdown captions, optionally per device or locale
  • Metadata translation with your own DeepL key and upload via Apple's API
  • An interactive setup wizard (storescreens setup) finds screens in your SwiftUI code and generates UI tests
  • Supports iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch and Mac App Store screenshots

Requirements

  • macOS 14 or later on Apple silicon (Intel not supported)
  • A UI test target in your project (or use simple mode)
  • Xcode 16 or later to build from source

Install

  1. Install the CLI and MCP server with Homebrew

    brew tap ciscoriordan/tap
    brew trust ciscoriordan/tap
    brew install storescreens
  2. In your project, create a config, generate tests and capture

    storescreens init
    storescreens setup
    storescreens capture --verbose
