Overview
DSH iOS Simulator is a plugin for DeepSeek Harness (DSH) that gives the agent a live iOS Simulator inside the conversation. It can also drive a real iPhone connected over USB. The agent can boot a device, build and run an Xcode project or Swift package, drive the UI by accessibility label or on-screen text, and read logs, while a live video of the device plays in a sidebar panel you can tap and drag on. It only works inside DSH, and the plugin is still a release candidate (0.1.0-rc.10).
Features
- 22 agent tools covering devices, boot and shutdown, screenshots, taps and typing, build and run, logs, processes, backtraces and leaks
- Live stream of the device in a sidebar panel, where you can tap, drag, rotate and press Home
- Taps elements by accessibility label or identifier, or finds and taps on-screen text with Vision OCR
- Row tools for list and feed apps that tap inside a row and check the result
- SwiftUI preview hot reload that swaps edits into the running simulator in about 2 to 5 seconds
- Real iPhone support over USB through WebDriverAgent, using the same panel and tools
- Streams and screenshots are only served over loopback through signed, expiring URLs
Requirements
- macOS with full Xcode (not just the Command Line Tools) and at least one iOS Simulator runtime
- DeepSeek Harness 0.1.0-rc.6 or later, with the web bundle for the live panel
- Optional: AXe for the accessibility-tree tools, and macOS Developer Mode for lldb backtraces
- For a real iPhone: a data USB cable, an unlocked phone with Developer Mode on, and a WebDriverAgent checkout
Install
Add the plugin to DSH, then start the web interface
dsh plugin --profile web add @zseven-w/dsh-ios@latest dsh web
Example
In a DSH conversation, ask: "Boot the iPhone 17 Pro", then "Build and run /path/to/MyApp.xcodeproj", and watch the app launch in the live panel.
